My first impression of Diigo is that it is somewhat confusing to use. I was confused by the concept of what bookmarking something on it was. I like the idea of the site, but I think once I am more familiar with it, I will like it more. What I don’t like about Diigo too much is how unorganized the site appears.

I have grown to like doing blog posts each week. I like being able to see my classmate's responses on the same prompts. I find it interesting to see how different people interpret things differently and reviewing classmate’s blogs shows a lot of that. I have learned that a lot of students use similar ways of studying as I do, through blogging in this class.

A Web 2.0 tool that I might use in my future teaching is YouTube. We have not done any assignments on this tool, but it is a commonly known tool. I think that it would be a useful tool to use in teaching because it would allow me to record and upload videos of myself teaching, for students to then go home and rewatch if they needed to be taught again or were absent. I have had teachers in the past do this and I found it to be beneficial to my learning experience in the class.

  1. Yes, I agree with you that Diigo is hard to use, even after I watch the tutorial videos. The site is quite hard to navigate from one place to another, too. Oh and I also chose Youtube as a Web 2.0 tool for my future class. This platforms provide teachers and students with useful information in form of videos.

  2. I think we can all agree that Diigo needs a bit of in update. Its features could be useful too, it is just kind of frustrating.
I also like doing blog posts and seeing my classmates responses. I like reading the comments that classmates leave on my posts, but I love attention so that is no surprise.
How did I not think of YouTube myself?! It is such an obvious answer! Our educators use it all the time, and it is a wonderful tool!
