From working on my web design assignment i learned useful skills for creating a real class website. I liked how Weebly made it easy to create a well organized page with the predesigned templates. At times the spacers were a bit confusing because i have never seen that anywhere else. Overall i enjoyed the web design assignment.      https://eme2040hannah.weebly.com/    From using Digo i have learned that it is not as complicated as it was seeming to be at first. It could be useful in my future classroom to save sites that i intend to go back to or use in the future. It could be useful to use with teammates to make a group for sharing resources. In this class for my personal use it is helpful to save websites.     As a teacher it is important to stay up to date in technology. They need to be up to date with what the students are used to. The link provided is a useful blog that has updates about technology helpful in a classroom. It allo...

Teachers pages on school websites can be useful because they usually provide simple information about the teachers. This information can include their name, title, and a way to contact them such as an email or phone number. The specific teacher website that I looked at provided the teacher's name, email, phone number, a bit about her family and information about her degrees. It also included a daily schedule that her and her students follow, and important resource links for parents. https://www.leonschools.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=33902     I envision myself using a password protected website for my future class to accomplish my professional responsibilities. I feel that would be the best way to share information as well as keep the privacy of my students and parents protected. I feel a good tool to use would be google surveys. I could utilize this tool to receive feedback from students and parents to create a be...

My first impression of Diigo is that it is  somewhat confusing  to use.  I was confused by the concept of what bookmarking something on it was. I like the idea of the site, but I think once I am more familiar with it, I will like it more.  What I  don’t  like about Diigo too much is how unorganized the site appears.    I have grown to like doing blog posts each week. I like being able to see my classmate's responses on the same prompts. I find it interesting to s ee how different people interpret things  differently and  reviewing classmate’s blogs  shows a lot of that. I have learned that a lot of students use similar ways of studying as I do, through blogging in this class.    A Web 2.0 tool that I might use in my future teaching is YouTube.  We have not done any assignments on this tool, but it is a commonly known tool.  I think that it would be  a useful tool  to use in teaching because it wo...

Journal #5

I got a Twitter account around 2018 . At the time I mostly used it to keep up with celebrities and friends. I have also found that Twitter is a good place to hear about current events, though they should always be fact checked with a more reliable source.  Twitter might be helpful in my future career because  it  would allow me to connect with and share ideas  with other teachers. This would be good to keep my teaching fresh and fun.         I believe that the digital divide can  affect  a student's success in school. Those who  do not have access to the technology and internet as other students do can be put at a  disadvantage .  Some causes of the digital divide may include economic status,  geographic location, or lack of motivation to learn how to use technology. I might use programs like Kahoot in my classroom  and the digital divide might affect how often I use online programs becau...
