Journal #4

I chose to explore fourth grade standards and the one I chose was " Paraphrase portions of a text read aloud or information presented  in diverse media and formats , including visually, quantitatively, and orally.". This standard to me means to be able to be able to process and understand things audibly and  thoroughly  understand various forms of presentation. I am aware that  I  would not be able to  effectively  implement this standard with my current skill set, because  I  have no teaching experience.  With  that  being  said, I am confident that  I  will one day be able to implement this standard after  I  have gone through teaching training.     I chose a fourth grade science resource. The resource I chose is an activity in which students learn about the properties of various minerals. The activity entails having students analyze/identify the properties o...

I have used Microsoft Word in my schooling for as long as I can remember. My freshmen year of  high school I actually received a certification in it, as well as some other Office 365 programs.     My name is Hannah Perake s. I am a  freshman  at Florida State  University, and I am majoring in Elementary Education. In the future I would like to be an elementary school teacher.   For a long time, I wanted to be a psychologist but in the last few years I realized that I wanted to be a teacher.      My whole schooling experience I have used technology. In elementary school I remember the teachers using Smart Boards and they had laptop carts that we would  occasionally  use.  In middle school we did most of our tests and work on laptops. In high school I used a lot of different kinds of technology, especially when quarantine started.  We went fully online and used programs such as Google Classroom and Zoom.       I regularly use multiple resources to support my learning needs and goals.  Something I use to memorize things for classes is Quizlet. I use the calendar app on my phone as...
